The European Central Bank (ECB) recently published its report on the international role of the Euro. Interesting findings about the role and competitiveness of the Euro can be derived:
1️⃣In the last years, the role of the euro did not change significantly.

2️⃣ The euro remains the second most important currency.

3️⃣Share of euro in global official holdings of foreign exchange reserves increased by 0.5% to 20.5% in 2022, while share of US dollar declined.

4️⃣ Share of euro in outstanding stock of international debt securities increases by 1% to 22%.
